I'm in too but I'd rather see The Patsy Cline Story get the audiophile treatment.

    Twice as many songs.

Analogue Productions will also issue a 200g vinyl of Patsy Cline's Greatest Hits.

Those recordings always sounded great on the original Decca vinyl, I could only imagine how the SACD would sound.

Interesting. The old remastered redbook of this title (released back in 2004?) was said to have sounded fantastic. Wonder who's doing this and how it will sound?

Is it a remix or original mixes?

I need to load up my wife's copy of the Patsy Cline Story, program in the tracks that appear on this Greatest Hits SACD, and decide if I like the music enough to fork out $30

I just listened again to the current CD that cost me $5.00 at Wal Mart, and I think that I might skip this SACD release. The $5.00 CD is an HDCD that was "Mastered by Bob Ludwig on 32 bit floating point SADIE digital work station at 96k sampling rate with 24 bit output resolution from the original analog three track master tape." This disc sounds very good to my ears, and Wal Mart has tons of these at only $5.00.

I guess that I was so enthralled by this HDCD that I commented about it very favorably in this other thread, (post #76):

Another recent head scratcher for me, because I have to agree with member "therockman", that the $5 dollar CD, found at WALMART, sounds fantastic and I really can't find a worthy reason to spend the $$$'s buying the upcoming SACD, just to say I have this title on SACD.

Pictured are the original DECCA Stereo LP, the MCA Gold Disc and that $5 dollar CD version, found at WALMART.

What I'd love to see instead is those DECCA/Everest/MCA Lp's that either went OOP on CD or those still not on CD-others are more worthy,I believe, than those already out! Anyone else agree with this?

Which is another reason to do The Patsy Cline Story instead.

That CD was just OK but not a lot of punch. Besides I think it's out of print too.
