The world peace that it would bring would certainly justify it's release. :D

Or maybe we could get world peace if Paul promises not to release it ever?

This won't do my reputation any good (if I even have one), but I actually quite enjoy the studio version, simply because it is good to hear Paul sing those songs again.

I like your thinking when you are desperate (that came out wrong :D).

I am also hoping that there will be more 'coming soon' cards, and that we will also at least be getting OTG.

    I'll make Paul a deal...

Press To Play and Flowers In The Dirt. I could live with that...

Well, they do follow on from each other...

I would be happy with this. That way the commercially stronger FITD would prop up PTP, allowing for Flaming Pie to prop up OTG. That would leave Broadstreet to be paired with the other cover albums (KOTB and RDR).

That makes sense. But aren't FITD and OTG a natural pairing, beyond just the Costello collaboration?

I like Off The Ground, but I wouldn't be turning cartwheels if it were next in line..

How dare you, boy! Press To Play needs no 'propping'.:)

I just think this could be such a superb package.. Everything from the bonus tracks and video footage to the artwork should be spectacular...

4 pages in 2 hours on a *not totally certain yet* release.:)

How long until another of those 'shouldn't McCartney/Beatles have their own forum' threads pops up?

Here's an example of a fun fake from earlier in the thread (kudos to @RAJ717):
Note that he got the 2015 copyright (good!), but also note that the catalog number is HRM-35671-02. A simple google search shows you that HRM-35671 was Wings At The Speed Of Sound. The new one, though a little blurry, was the first previously unseen "card" to use a proper catalog number. If you google HRM-37291 you'll find that it's the catalog number for the Pipes reissue.

I think this would be perfect imo:
    Disc 1 - original album

    Disc 2 -
    1. Once Upon A Long Ago
    2. Flying To My Home
    3. Ou Est Le Soleil?
    4. 25 Fingers [Demo]
    5. So Like Candy [Demo]
    6. You Want Her Too [Demo]
    7. Don't Be Careless Love [Demo]
    8. My Brave Face [Demo]
    9. Motor Of Love [Early Version]
    10. Good Sign
    11. The First Stone

Disc 3 [Only book edition] -
    1. Rough Ride [Single Version]
    2. Party Party
    3. The Long And Winding Road
    4. Figure Of Eight [Single Version]
    5. Ferry 'Cross The Mersey
    6. P.S. Love Me Do
    7. Once Upon A Long Ago [Extended]
    8. We Got Married [Demo]
    9. This One [Demo]
    10. Message

Disc 4 [Return To Pepperland Outtakes] -
    1. Lindiana
    2. I Love This House
    3. Beautiful Night
    4. Loveliest Thing
    5. Squid
    6. Big Day
    7. Love Come Tumbling Down
    8. Atlantic Ocean
    9. Love Mix
    10. Return To Pepperland
    11. Same Love
    12. Don't Break The Promise

    DVD -
    Put It There Special

So, I left off the remixes of Ou Est Le & Good Sign, and left some of the demos for Off The Ground.

Do "weaker" releases really need propping up?

For example, assuming POP is the weaker edition currently being released, there must be plenty of people at the moment leaving it because they can't afford/don't want to splash out for 2 deluxe packages at once.

If TOW was being released on its own now, with POP following in a few months time, surely some of those who don't buy it now would feel they could justify buying it on its own then, with all the accompanying hype that reminds them to.

Maybe a simplistic viewpoint, but I just wonder how much value it really adds pairing a "strong and weak" combo together.

Exactly what I think - maybe Flowers In The Dirt by itself will start that trend!

So long as he still issues at least 2 a year then I have no problem if this is the new strategy. It's also difficult to really immerse yourself in each release when you have 2 monster sets to split your time between at the same time.

I have promos for both and there's no card in either. I doubt they'd do anything different for other countries.

Nice to see that they are still keeping the 70s albums for later. ;)

Question is, if FITD is going as a separate release, does this mean that it will also be a bigger release with more bonus material? Ram and Wings Over America were both standalone, and both were a bit bigger than the average release.

On the other hand, they managed to release Venus and Mars and McCartney II with other releases and still give them lots of bonus content...

Here's hoping the Return to Pepperland stuff ends up on this release. This really will be the big one - if those tracks are left by the wayside, we can be completely certain that the rest of the Archive series will be pretty low-key with its bonus contents.

What's weird is that this almost looks like someone took a photo of a real item. All previous fakes looked "clean."
