I've never understood the need to pre-order on iTunes, it's not as though they can sell out on release day.
Re. the downloads, surely the (trivial) extra cost of a 4th CD cannot be the issue, as the Ram SDE had 4 CDs?
Which, sadly, was very likely punched in. I listened to tons of boots from that tour and he didn't come close on any. Sorry, maybe I shouldn't have mentioned...
When Paul was in the studio to guide her, yes. But singing live on stage, she was horrible. That's hard for me to say too, because I loved Linda. But it's true.
And PTP actually got quite strong reviews at the time of release, as did Driving Rain. Later on they were re-evaluated and looked upon less favourably by some fans and critics.
'Driving Rain'. 3/5 by Uncut Magazine, 3/5 by Q Magazine, 7/10 by Billboard, 6/10 by NME... those were still almost relevant back then, and it was far from a landslide. They only managed to buy favourable reviews in Rolling Stone (8/10) and Mojo (9/10).
I am actually prepared to believe that the positive reviewers of PtP and DR actually liked what they were hearing - both albums are pushing a contemporary sound and breaking new ground, which is probably what they wanted from a new McCartney album.

But why call it something it isn't? They say "Archive Collection" right on them. Why confuse it by introducing terminology that has nothing to do with what they're called?
I've heard other folks refer to the big boxes as "super deluxe editions" before. Just doesn't seem like a big deal to me.
It just seems weird (and confusing) to give it a completely different title when it already has a widely accepted official title.
But still as a phrase, it makes no sense when describing the Ram box. I mean, if that's the "super deluxe", then what is the "regular deluxe"?? Why not just call the box the deluxe edition?
