There are very, very few people who are going to buy all 4 of those things and the people who are would do it regardless of release date. Not a big deal really.

 

I agree with him too. I think we do it to kid Arnie more than hating the song.

 

Later this year??? I'd be shocked. Considering Egypt Station is coming out in the beginning of September, I figured that will get the full Paul McCartney promotion push for the rest of the year. The White Album box set is due in November to coincide with the half century anniversary and that will also take large sales figures away from everything else. I honestly can't see these being released until Q1 2019, but I'd love to be surprised.

 

I have NO guilt about it though. It's just a pleasure---a simple one, yes, but a pleasure nonetheless. No qualifications necessary for me.

I love Paul’s grungy vocal on it. I think some people might be put off by Linda’s vocals.

I believe he's referring to the other artists on Apple. CDs from Billy Preston, Mary Hopkins, Jackie Lomax, Badfinger et al were released in 2010.

 

Has anyone got eyes on an available gold press of Chaos in the U.K.? Struggling currently.

Doesn't it seem like though that the vinyl reissues have been distinctly albums that were already released in archive fashion? Exceptions being the newer ones like Chaos and New, but archive editions of those must be so far down the road a vinyl issue now is no impact.

 

The Luxury Deluxe whatever they call it version of Egypt is slated for Q4/2019 Q1 as well. Another wild card. I keep thinking the archives will be pushed to 2019.

 

I had to resort to eBay for this one, just a couple of weeks ago. I'm sure I paid over the odds, but what can you do.

tbh I think I'm surprised that 'Chaos' was the one that disappeared the fastest - I was betting on 'Thrillington'

Already pre-ordered the coloured vinyl 'Egypt Station' so I don't have the same issue in months to come.....

 

Sadly the Target edition is not available in Canada. Target will ship… but it costs $32 to ship the $17 CD (US funds, so add 30%).
