Pretty cheesy interviewer. Asking about hookers in Vegas? Asking about John's Jesus remark?

I don't know how Paul could put up with some of those questions.

Well, they didn't tell me yet. And I'd certainly know before Paul ... ;)

Wait, you are waiting on confirmation from the man himself? Guys, HitsDailyDouble doesn't miss, and Billboard themselves are quoting them, as if they don't have the figures themselves.

So outside of the US, the album is selling in almost RSD quantities? This is Paul's latest album we're talking about, not Ringo's right? Really disappointing sales in both the UK and Japan.

EXCEPT when they predicted Memory Almost Full as #1 and then it came in at #3 on the Billboard chart.

Japan is interesting. How much did 'New' actually sell? That was a big succes over there. The UK isn't a surprise, it's his reputation.

I remember the 'New' single reached no.4 on the charts there, and I believe 'Fine Line' was also a hit (maybe a no.1).

Ringo would be delighted with a number 3 album in the UK. His last top 10 was in 1973.

All I see is Eminem at #1, and Egypt Station not even on the chart.

I think NEW (the album) reached #2 in Japan. It's all very arbitrary, IMO. Why was Egypt Station #1 in Germany when he hasn't had topped the charts in decades (NEW peaked at #6)? I don't think he did any promo there or anything, so in many cases it seems completely random.

That is still last week's chart.

    As posted earlier:
Usually Billboard announces the new #1 album via a "Chart Beat" article. Last week's "Chart Beat" article regarding the Top 200 chart winner (which was Eminem last week) was put online at about 3 PM (Eastern USA time). But the exact time may vary from week to week. I'm not a regular follower of Billboard, so I have no idea.

The next actual Top 200 chart itself will not be displayed until later this week (maybe Tuesday??).

Promo is of course not tied to territories any more. Two things: Carpool Karaoke, and the Beat The Meatles story perfectly placed on Wednesday for the final sprint.
