Indeed, he needs to play the entire Red Rose Speedway medley! "Love Me Do" was great, one of the highlights of the show for me. Unless things have changed since Edmonton, I reckon "Jet" and "The Long And Winding Road" are probably the most conspicuously absent "warhorse" tracks- I freely admit, though, that I didn't miss either one of 'em. I wonder if Paul is actually embarrassed by "Oh Darling" for some reason, especially considering "Call Me Back Again" for all intents and purposes was almost like a rewrite
Call Me Back Again is in no way a rewrite of Oh Darling! Oh Darling is blues, Call Me Back Again is R&B/soul. Both are two of McCartney's very best! I do wish over the years he had performed Oh Darling.
I wonder if he could even pull off "Martha My Dear" with some of the falsetto parts? That's a song I wish he would have done years ago when he still could pull it off brilliantly.
Not the first time I’ve read this theory (I’ll give you the bit about being embarrassed though) but I’ve never agreed with it one little bit. They are two completely different songs, equally brilliant.
That moment when a Beatle looks you directly in the eye and says with his facial expressions "Look at you taken photos that you know you shouldn't be taking"
The private rehearsal at the Tokyo Dome just then had the regular program, apart from 'I Don't Know' being included.
He played that one at rehearsal/soundcheck for ACL. There was a clip on instagram. Hopefully he’ll add it to the actual show.
