Paul will be turning 74 years of age in June 2016. How much longer can this go on?

I would love to take my two teenage daughters to see Paul live. Both festivals are quite a way from us. Does anyone know if more festival dates are likely to be added.

I get kind of stoked when I think "Cool, maybe Ill see him one more time. Only saw him in the early 90s once." Then I immediately remember the reasons why its not a good idea and ...uh...no...its uhmm over. But, hey, whats he gonna do set at home and read old Beatle clippings? If hes having fun and someone gets a kick out of listening to his warble that once was a beautifully lilting voice...go for it.

Doesn't look like there's a Golden Circle in GC unlike for the Stones ?

Well his speaking voice has been shot for 10+ years but his singing voice has ups and downs, it was terrible in Marseille last year and three days later it was very good in Paris, possibly better than in 2002, so go figure. One thing is certain he's not trying to save it like say Jagger would by not tackling songs that are hard on his voice, gotta respect that.

I guess that means he's not working on new material ? Not that there's likely any huge demand after the decent but, well, "unimportant" NEW.

The Stones are lucky in the fact that most of their songs can sound like the Stones still. That is, the roughness doesnt matter as much. Pauls are much more demanding vocally.
And as far as new stuff, I think some of his songs are a nice listen melodically. He can still write a good melody. But all the effects placed on the more recent albums sound like a ragged voice hiding behind tricks.

I don't know about other festival dates, but it's reasonable to speculate that he will do a few concerts in Europe in June. Germany should have a good chance at being included, as it's been a while since his last concert there. Good luck!

    Both! :)

I would guess at least a couple from this list: Martha My Dear, Maxwell's Silver Hammer, Rocky Raccoon, Honey Pie, Ticket To Ride, Wait, What You're Doing, Hold Me Tight, I Feel Fine, I Want To Hold Your Hand, Baby's In Black.

Notice how subtle the McCartney put downs are.

Calling his voice a warble, how ridiculous!

The man sings absolutely fine for someone his age!

I just listened to brand new music from Mavis Staples, who's voice is just like McCartney's at this stage. It has changed but it's still very good and far from a warble!

How can anyone say that McCartney is hiding his voice behind tricks?

    Songs like...
    Hosanna
    On My Way To Work
    Get Me Out Of Here
aren't hiding behind any tricks at all, in fact on those songs McCartney let's you hear just how bare his voice really is.

The bonus track Scared really let's you hear his current voice, he isn't hiding behind anything!

Paul usually begins his tours in April/May, so an official announcement shouldn't take too long now.

Someone mentioned yesterday that he will be back in Argentina this year, and a Brazilian promoter gave an interview a few months ago saying that he will tour Brazil in 2016. I'm guessing those two countries will get concerts in the same period, probably November.

Please let it be Maxwell! Plus, it's not the most vocally demanding of songs. :agree:

Yes, Paul can keep playing for many more years if he stays healthy. Many blues performers played into their 90s, and Tony Bennett is still doing shows. However, those 90-year-olds were/are not doing 3-hour stadium/arena extravaganzas. Can an 80- or 85-year-old Paul still do that? Would he even want to do that? Sure, I could see Paul do a very fine 90-minute show in a theater when he is 85. I just don't see him flying around the world doing stadium rock shows at that advanced age.
