Paul McCartney's "One On One" Tour

And just to clarify: Nancy Shevell is with Paul in for the Australian and New Zealand tour.

Nancy used to be on the Board of the MTA (the New York City area transit authority): She rarely smiled then:

 

Unless she was reading texts from Paul.

At that time period, she likely was reading (threatening) text from Heather Mills ....

 

I don't remember if there was an official announcement or not regarding his departure, but I see John Hammel is no longer handing Paul his guitars

 

Yep, he got married & retired.

 

A few hours ago, Paul's team shared a few short videos on the "stories" section of his Instagram account. One of them comes from the soundcheck, an instrumental track. I don't recognize it, so it's either an improvisation or a new song.

It sounds like a well-structured instrumental. Perhaps it had been rehearsed previously?

 

They routinely do impromptu jams during soundchecks that usually sound pretty rehearsed. They are pros so they can improvise with the best of them

 

Interesting, but I don't feel like there's enough there to determine whether or not it has a structure. All I hears was riffing on over one chord...

Sounds to me like they may be riffing off of "Letting Go"?

 

I think it's probably how they choose something that is quite easy structurally and being pros, they improvise quite easily within the framework of instrumental

During the soundchecks in Australia I’ve heard they started with either a ‘Letting Go’-inspired jam, a somewhat up-tempo funky jam, or this one.

 

Must be quite a thrill if you were a regular guest at this wedding and 2 Beatles were also there as guests.

To clarify, I meant I heard the soundchecks, not the info, haha. I wrote them all down, but it was all the same. ‘Alligator’ for Melbourne day 2 was cool, the only exclusive song.
