Yeah, I've noticed Paul has picked up the late Stanley Kubrick's work out-put. Each album takes a bit longer than the one before. Thankfully, Paul's still with us.
I'll bet you anything that the box just consists of straight remasters of his solo albums. Disc 1: Paul Simon Disc 2: There Goes Rhymin' Simon Disc 3: Live Rhymin' Disc 4: Still Crazy After All These Years Disc 5: One Trick Pony Disc 6: Hearts And Bones Disc 7: Graceland Disc 8: Rhythm Of The Saints Disc 9: Concert In The Park (Part 1) Disc 10: Concert In The Park (Part 2) Disc 11: Songs From The Capeman Disc 12: You're The One I could be wrong, though.
Will we ever get to hear Stranded in a Limousine? It was on Greatest Hits, etc which was quickly deleted and the song is as yet unavailable! Brian
And what about the songs in One trick Pony? The two in the movie not on the soundtrack LP . "Spiral Highway" and "Soft Parachues" I think...
I don't think I was aware of these (I saw the video several years ago, but forgot what was on it). Have these ever appeared on vinyl or in any form besides on the film?
I have a copy of this CD. I didn't realise it was rare until a friend pointed it out to me a couple of years back.
Concert in the Park runs about two hours. It would require substantial editing to make it a single disc.
"Gone At last" was originally cut with Bette and was a totally different arrangement - sorta like a Gospel version. Paul apparently changed his mind and re-recorded it with a faster arrangement and with Ms. Snow.
OK, but did the Midler version ever see the light of day or is it a track like some on the Hearts and Bones sessions where Paul wiped the vocals (in that case Garfunkels) before the record was released?
I doubt if The Songbook Lp would be included.I hear he's got a problem with that album. Then again,he apparently has a problem with the S&G stuff, which to me,is his best, though I do like eveything through Hearts & Bones. After that is another story....
Perhaps. Although it was re-released in 1981 as part of the Paul Simon LP boxset "Collected Works". Jim W.
