And new album, Gigaton, to be released March 27.

I am stoked for the two dates in Oakland (and thankfully not San Francisco or San Jose!), both of which I will attend.

But I will say, I feel sorry for the Canucks...I mean, really, you wait seven years between albums and can't get it out before the tour starts? The first four shows all the fans will know from the new album are whatever singles have been released, whereas at least the rest of us (well, the Baltimore folks will have one day ; ) will be able to spin the new album a few times, thus having some favorites we can hope to hear live.

    Whatever...not my problem!

It's a trade-off. There is something very special about the first few shows of any new tour, before there is a chance to see setlists, photos of the staging etc. It's the sense of anticipation that I recall from pre-internet days.

No Texas dates, so probably going to be headlining Austin City Limits in October.

:( they haven't been to Hawai'i since Dec. 2006, the week they did their own show at Blaisdell (one of the best concerts of my life) then a few days later they opened for U2 at Aloha Stadium - the final Vertigo show.

No Chicago dates? I am tired of them playing Wrigley field.. hopefully they hit Alpine Valley when they do come through. Last time I saw them there was 2011 for PJ20

I just got tickets to the show in Hamilton Ontario. Easier to get to for me than Toronto, and figured I had a better chance of scoring tickets (and it worked!). Long time fan, not a nut or anything, and first time seeing them in concert.

The on sale for the Baltimore show has been a DISASTER!

I pre registered, logged in 10 minutes prior to onsale waited in cue for 20 plus minutes only to be offered scattered pairs around the arena and no floor or pit seats..

Then when i tried to buy these a message told me that they were no longer available

Today for the regular onsale it made me log into my Ticketmaster account, enter my phone number, enter the code they texted to me and wait a few minutes, then i got a message telling me that "this is an all ga event" it isnt... I then got an error message telling me that the onsale begins in 6 days. It doesnt!

It now tells me that the event is sold out..
    TOTAL DISASTER

As I whined on a Facebook PJ group, TM's attempts to make purchases "scalper proof" really just hurt regular fans.

    Verified Fan.

    Queues.

    CAPCHA.

    Texted codes.

    Etc. etc.

None of these hurt scalpers, but they make it tougher for regular fans to buy.

Just go back to hitting F5 until you get in. Toss out CAPCHA if ya want, but the rest of this is nonsense!

Sold out in Toronto - they could probably book 4-6 nights here if they wanted.

Judging from all the hoops i had to jump thru only to get rejected im sure Baltimore could do the same

I handful of Baltimore tickets popped up late afternoon. I wasn't able to land one, but they were nice side stage seats!

Yeah i saw some in front row of the side stage section but it was a tease. I clicked on them and got the "someone beat you to these" message

They really need to bring back the ability to simply search for "Best Available" - with "available" meaning "not in someone's cart".

That's what happens: someone grabs the tickets but they're not removed from the system until the purchase finalizes.

So you can see the tickets "up for sale" for 10 minutes after they've been taken!

This drove me especially nuts when I tried to buy tickets for Elton a few months ago.

I went through the initial onsale, and it took forever to finally get seats because everything I tried to buy was already taken.

The old "Best Available" would've showed me what seats were unclaimed.

Because I kept trying to buy seats that were taken, I wasted a good 30 minutes until I finally found an unclaimed pair.

    Maddening and stupid!

I am actually happy that they are doing this now, since half of the shows I am seeing on this tour are GA, which means a lot of people bumping into me.
Also glad a had not booked hotels yet.

Hopefully they will reschedule before the end of summer, but who knows in this crazy world.
