The scenario of him seeing her should come up at some point in the story.
Mina Harker is a character from the Dracula novel by Bram Stoker so I am expecting that Dracula will at some point in this show be a character.
If I were to guess I would think that they will drag the appearance of that character out until next season, I would also speculate that Mina will rise from the grave - possibly during this season.

They already indicated that's a good possibility.

I'm watching it. I enjoy the show. The witches are some scary women! That was a shocker at the brothel too:yikes:

Yeah, and the Bride of Frankenstein story is going to get complicated, too!

I really like the program; it’s up there with Game of Thrones as one of my favourite series currently being screened on television. Its one of those shows that seems to really grab your attention, builds suspense and yet seems to fly by

Really? I thought it was very obvious as soon as they introduced the character that it was a guy in drag. I'm sure the producers have something in mind, but I really don't get why Dorian is even on the show. He has nothing to do with the main story. So far he's just around to bang half the cast (Vanessa, Ethan, Brona) but doesn't really do anything of consequence relating to the main plot. At least so far.

I love the witches, they're super creepy. And I wonder if we will find out what happened to Madame Kali between the seance and now? If she was like we see her now, it seems odd that she would have been intimidated by Mina at the seance and let herself be shown up and appear to be a fraud. Cool character, though. Helen McCrory is doing a great job.

Eva Green was also in Casino Royale. I guess she's working her way through all the Bonds.

Just seen last night's Penny Dreadful. Again, some stunning imagery: Frankenstein's creation heading off into the Arctic (just where we always knew he was going after all those Hammer horror films), Vanessa throwing the crucifix into the fire, and Billie Piper and Dorian Grey ballroom dancing, walking dead leaving a trail of ketchup everywhere. Story was crap but definitely a triumph of style over substance. I don't know if there's any plans for a third series. Not sure we need one - but I'll be watching if they do!

The last few episodes were really good. I'm looking forard to S3, which I assume will be the end, as it was very iffy going beyond this season to begin with. Unless there is a drastic uptick in viewership for the show, this next season is it. That's fine. Better to get three good seasons instead of putter along well past when it should and go out with a whimper (Dexter, True Blood, etc).

I read an interview which said they were hoping for 5 seasons.

The producters or Showtime? That seems very optimistic. Do you have a link to that?

It was on Digital Spy, I think. I'll have a look for it.

I was surprised to see ratings went down after the first season. One of the few shows I look forward to.Maybe with the new Showtime streaming option starting this month more people will discover this fine series.

Can't find the link. I'm sure I read a quote from either the writer or Showtime saying they were hoping the show would run for 5 years. Sadly, I have no way of proving this now, so sorry for misleading anyone.

At least we know season three is a cert.:)

It really has bloomed into a much better than average show, if Dracula is the twin of Lucifer as I think they alluded to in their deciphering of the artifacts from the crazy priest (monk?) then they could easily get two seasons out of that character's doings -along with the other elements that can re emerge.

We watched season 1 on DVD a few weeks ago and enjoyed it. Will seek out season 2 as and when.

To be honest it feels a bit too much like a The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen rip-off to sit perfectly with me. As soon as a certain actor walked into shot for the first time I shouted "No please...don't let him be Dorian Gray!!!"

    Oh well.

No worries. I can easily see the writers saying they would like it to go five seasons. They might have the story roughly mapped out over that time. But I hope they are considering the ratings, as I think they will be unlikely to get past season 3. I was just curious how recent the quote was.

The quote was just after the second season began in May.
