Most of my collection is like this. If an album has more than one naff track I don't consider it a great album even if the rest of it is grade A. Yes this is subjective but I'm into bands who deliver consistently good albums, I'm an album guy.

A handful of eclectic examples off the top of my head:

    U2 The Joshua Tree
    U2 Achtung Baby
    Springsteen Born In The USA
    Springsteen The River
    AC/DC Highway To Hell
    AC/DC Back In Black
    Bryan Adams Reckless
    Bryan Adams Into The Fire
    Def Leppard Hysteria
    Ozzy Osbourne Blizzard Of Ozz
Meat Loaf Bat Out Of Hell
    The Cult Love
    The Cult Electric
    The Cult Sonic Temple
    The Cult Ceremony
    The Cult The Cult
Guns 'n' Roses Appetite For Destruction
The Nephilim Fields Of The Nephilim
    Magnum On A Storyteller's Night
    Magnum Wings Of Heaven
    Marillion Misplaced Childhood
    Bowie Station To Station
Pink Floyd Dark Side Of The Moon
    The Eagles Hotel California
Simple Minds Good News From The Next World
    Queen Innuendo
    Paul McCartney McCartney
    Paul McCartney RAM
    A-Ha Scoundrel Days
Gary Moore Still Got The Blues
John Mayall's Bluesbreakers With Eric Clapton
    Oasis Definitely Maybe
    Led Zeppelin 1, 2, 3, 4
The Stone Roses The Stone Roses

It’s funny - it’s folks like you who turn threads into Beatle threads. Not those who you would think that post about the Beatles incessantly. Isn’t it ironic?

Speaking of....Jagged Little Pill for me.

Isn’t that exactly what you are doing (telling us what is perfect) by saying it can’t be the Beatles because you want “actual perfect records”?

ABBA the album or self-titled? If the latter, I have to skip the awful Bjorn tracks of “Man in the Middle” and “Rock Me”.

I'm thinking all of side 3 isn't as strong...is this the same member who posts Metal Machine Music in every "best of" thread on the forum??

Yep - with a bunch of other albums with a bunch of other artists.
Yours was the FIRST to ONLY mention the Beatles.
Yet with your post, you expressed your concern about it turning into a Beatles thread.

    Irony.

Lots of great, brilliant, or even superb albums, but "perfect" from beginning to end, all the tracks in the right places, beautiful flow, fantastic concept ?

Marvin Gaye - What's Going On.

YES, how could I forget that one?!? Easily their most perfect effort (aside from Substance), a combination of Joy Division and the trademark New Order sound that manages to pleases nearly every musical taste.

I really like them though. And the self titled is more varied than for instance "Arrival".

No. In fact I think Rubber Soul & Revolver are "perfect" Albums. I just didn't lead off with them so maybe people would think of other bands and albums besides just the Beatles.
