Just thinking of two movies that partner together well in a nights viewing. Whether it's the theme, the genre, Director etc. That's up to you.

Heat and Ronin would be an excellent pairing in my view. Car chases, shooting, betrayal, it's all there. And style.

    How about-

Man In The Wilderness and A Man called Horse. Richard Harris goes native.

I think it was Jaws three that was about as crazy as Sharknado.

I have both of those on DVD. I've actually done the double feature.

But the only thing they have in common is that they focus on people attached to a record store.

I just discovered a TV show based on High Fidelity. I'm going to start watching after the grandkids leave next week.

I love them both and I do feel like they go together very well in a double.

The TV series is good but scenes and dialogue are lifted whole cloth from the film that it makes it kinda frustrating to watch. Not to mention some mishandling of records and equipment at times.

I enjoy both movies as well.

I only watched the first ten minutes or so of the HI FI tv show. I found the overt placement of the receiver and TT next to the chair interesting. Almost too overt. ;)

I'm finding that I'm losing interest in stuff lately. I actually own a dvd of the documentary, "I gotta have that record". I enjoyed it a lot when I first got it, over a decade ago. And then I rapidly consumed every documentary on Youtube I could find about vinyl. And the movie, The Wrecking Crew. But I'm fining I no longer have any interest in that stuff, but I really loved the documentary about the rise and fall of Tower Records (All Things Must Pass).

That is, it takes more than just "taking place in a record store" to keep my interst. Kinda like I used to love science fiction because of all the special affects. But I've OD'd on it. I now need a good story more than I need cool special effects, though they are enjoyable when wrapped in a good story.

I think High Fidelity and Empire Records are both good stories and ones I can relate to.

Pre Beatles pop singer has a role in both. In the first he is one of the three who successfully escape.. in the second his character is killed two-thirds in the movie
