I pretty much agree, although the guest segment is fun. However, it does have one of the best versions of 2001 that I've heard (bearing in mind that I haven't dug as deeply into Phish's live recordings, especially unofficial ones post-'93 or so, as many of you).
That was one of the first releases I listened to and almost killed any further attempts to listen to that band
Revisiting 7/17/1993 at Wolftrap. The first show I saw -- not just Phish, but any band. http://phish.net/setlists/?d=1993-07-17
Did you get a pot of gold for catching that Leprechaun? I'd never even heard of that song until I just followed your setlist link.
Thanks for posting that, and please forgive my stupid Leprechaun joke. I can kind of see why that one didn't stick, but it's interesting to hear for the first time.
I didn't know what anything was except for Bike at my first show. I remember they played Lizards because the chorus was particularly memorable at the time, but no setlist exists and to this day I have no idea what else they played.
Still working on catching up with the ongoing Summer Tour. Finished the 07/24/15 Shoreline yesterday, the run of "Blaze On > Twist > Light" is probably one of the highlights of summer tour so far. Currently working through Set II of 07/28/15 Austin, the "46 Days > The Dogs > 46 Days > Piper" run is great. The rest of the show however, while containing some solid individual tunes, is really weird and lacks a good flow.
the old stuff... The download version on Phish's website has 5 bonus tracks. Has anyone heard them, and are they worth another $13 to download if I already have the CD version? LIVEPHISH.COM download includes 5 exclusive bonus tracks: Sanity (8/5/88) Dog Log (8/4/88) Big Black Furry Creature From Mars (7/28/88) Slave To The Traffic Light (7/30/88) Harry Hood (8/3/88) http://www.livephish.com/browse/music/0,394/Phish-mp3-flac-download-Colorado-88
I have this bonus disc, I ordered the FLAC files instead of the CDs to get it. To be completely honest Im not sure how much I really played it after the 1st couple of spins, no specific thoughts or memories pop up looking at the track list. I'll probably end up pulling it out again over the next few days now that it is on the radar. I'll circle back with any impressions when I do.
Wow, I got this CD maybe six month ago, I think, and I didn't know that the download version had bonus tracks. Time for head smack smiley:
