In the second Nassau show from the Island Tour, Fishman says it's OK to run up on stage, but don't let Carini get you, and then it devolves into singing what I quoted.
Overall the Island Tour era of Phish is good, but one thing I never liked when it was introduced was that "wee-oo, wee-oo" constant sound like I'm listening to now on "Tweezer" 4/4/98. It's sort of annoying. Glad that's gone.
For a variety of reasons, I drifted away from Phish after about 99. The siren was definitely one of them.
We have new archival release up at LivePhish: 8/26/1993 - Portland, Oregon SET 1: Runaway Jim, Guelah Papyrus, Reba, Fee[1], Split Open and Melt, Esther, It's Ice[2] > Harry Hood, Golgi Apparatus SET 2: Also Sprach Zarathustra > David Bowie, Lifeboy > Rift, Jesus Just Left Chicago, The Lizards, Hold Your Head Up > Nothin' But A Nothin'[3] > Hold Your Head Up, Chalk Dust Torture ENCORE: Free Bird
Listening to 12/7/95 Niagara Falls. Not all of it has grabbed me but nice Mike’s Song > Weekapaug Groove. Possum and Reba too.
4/15/04 Las Vegas is one of the featured shows on the LivePhish app. I have never heard any of this infamous run so I listened to set one the other day. Most of it was pretty good although there is some Trey weirdness. Intense "Timber" to close.
Wading in the Velvet Sea Slave To The Traffic Light These songs have some purty guitar playing, don't they?
Wading In The Velvet Sea from Worcester '98 on the Live Phish series has probably my favourite Trey solo ever. It's disabled on youtube, but I'll try this link - not sure if it will work. Otherwise search it out yourself. It's beautiful. ♫ Now Playing "Wading in the Velvet Sea" Phish, Nov 27, 1998, Worcester, MA via the @LivePhish App
Now playing Live Phish 20, Providence '94. If I Could and Silent In The Morning are just wonderful. Gorgeous. In fact, If I Could is on as I'm typing this right now, so I'm gonna repeat it to give it the attention it deserves!
I think there was some weirdness during 46 Days as well, Trey and the band were on different tracks during one (or more) of the choruses. Looks good on paper though!
In "Stash" Trey keeps repeating "maybe so or maybe not" at a different slower tempo than everyone else, kind of eerie.
Managed to score a copy of the Billy Breathes LP and listened to side 1 today. My copy is very sibilant. Other stuff I was playing didn't have that problem. Anyone else have it and experience this problem?
