The mix of WCBT, while not a mono mix, is indeed a *different* mix on the 45. They didn't edit out the word "motherfu**er", but they kinda buried it.

Do an A/B with the album mix and you'll see what I mean.

What's really cool about it is I found it for $1 in a huge trove of vinyl that a record store got in en masse. The owner told me just to dig through and see what I can find and that he'd then price it. (Which usually means really high pricing, in my experience.) I pulled out a bunch of Blue Notes and the Screamin' Jay Hawkins and he priced them all at $1 each. The Screamin' Jay has a couple small seam splits, but still due to the rarity it was well worth grabbing at that price. ;-)

Interesting. Did they put fades between the three sections?

I like how you marked the label to remind yourself which was the better song.

I always wondered why some of these say "DON'T DROP OUT" on them. Any experts know the answer?

According to Bruce Spizer, a noted Beatles researcher on all things Beatles on vinyl, the "DON'T DROP OUT" quote was 'Swan's contribution to a national campaign encouraging high school students to remain in school and graduate.' This quote came from Spizer's book The Beatles Swan Song published in 2007.

Beatles Swan label WLP one-sided for "I'll Get You". Notice the two factory "X's" on this promo. Cool stuff.
