Animals 32DP is not that rare (at least in my experience), but the obis are hard to come by because they are box obis (and were usually thrown out).

This I can't understand for the life of me.

A 35DP-4 WYWH with OBI, yes. This? No way.

OBI - what a useless thing. I'd throw them all away, except that for some reason somebody decided they were valuable and everyone bought in. Really, what for? What % of the people wanting them can even read them? And so what if they could? We might as well be preserving the cut open shrink wrap, as far as I'm concerned.

Because "We decide which is right, and which is an illusion".;)

Hold the $690.00. I'll take the identical Columbia/CBS press for 10 bucks.

Those $10,000.00 paintings are singular, and one of a kind.

    ...And like Barry says...

    It's teared!!!;)

There are deleted scenes, but they are truly 'deleted' and it's possible that one or two of them are on older HBO or Cinemax broadcast versions, from the early 80's...That's about it, though.:(

...and preserve the longbox and the blisterpack and how about those annoying stickers that you have to remove before you can open the jewel case. Maybe they should be valuable. :agree:

I agree that it seems a little high, even at $400 (who knows what it will end up at). I have seen a few of these over the years.

On the other hand a 35DP-4 with OBI? If it were a well-publicized auction and a reputable seller, I think that the price would blow right past $1000. There are many Floyd collectors that covet this disc.

A few months ago, a SEALED copy showed up on a Japanese auction site, and the seller was inundated with offers. I looked at the detailed photos he posted, and it appears legit. He delisted the item a day later. Who knows what he did with it.

Holy schmoley. If the eventual winning bidder is out there, I ask, what would you pay for my sealed copy? ;)

yeah but that obi alone in perfect shape like that is probably worth around $600 by it self regardless of the disc inside

"Up for auction is a rare sealed first Japanese issue of Pink Floyd Animals with catalog number 32DP 360. I have opened the package to verify that the correct disc is inside. In doing so, I compared it to the current remaster, and this first issue sounds much, much better. This sealed disc is a one of a kind and a must-have for any collector. It's sealed in the original shrinkwrap from the '80s! You may never see another sealed copy!"

    :D
