That just means they have a distribution deal with Sony. I'm pretty sure Pink Floyd makes the decisions, because they could easily get another distribution deal if they didn't like what Sony was doing.

So this 5.1 disc pushed out further? I swear I heard whisper of an October release.

I want to see this and Pompeii "proper" on blu ray soon.

So this could mean maybe an announcement is round the corner?

Can't say, gag order. No idea of announcement date but a 2018 release is not out of the question. Yet.

I wouldn't expect to see anything until Jan, unless they are somehow able to squeeze it into December. Probably more likely early 2019. Happy to be wrong.

Wow - that's news to me - is it in a stand alone version or does one need to get the full box set. If standalone - which one? Reverberation? Appreciate the assistance. Meddle is in my top 3 Floyd albums.

Not in stand alone. Big box only, Reverberation.

Nope. But possibly this could be a chance for a Meddle box set in the future.

I got my blu ray disc from the big box on ebay for $30, thanks to the tip from a forum member. Keep your eyes open.

Can you elaborate, without breaking forum rules?

But who's in charge these days? I can't imagine Dave the country squire getting his hands dirty with reissue possibilities and questions. And does Roger have to sign off on every decision? Rick's estate? etc. . . .

Nick Mason recently said that he is not aware of live show from Animals tour... Is that still the case or, by some strange coincidence, a live material suddenly appeared to be famously included in the set?

If Nick said that he's not aware of tape it means that it's exist in perfect condition.

Paul Loasby runs the Pink Floyd empire. All the big releases are his doing. Roger has to sign off on everything created before he split from the band.

Nick said they were still looking hence the delay from the original release date. All the live recordings they did from the 77 tour turned out to be non-mixable open air recordings so they may be digging for something better. Let's hope they found what they were looking for.

Better than 1977 live recordings? Is there such a thing?

I'm desperate for some In The Flesh Tour, but if 1977 live material is indeed out of the cards, I guess the next best thing are the studio demos of "You Gotta Be Crazy", "Raving And Drooling", etc

Hmm yeah, could be the rough mixes that were bootlegged years ago as 'The Extraction Tapes'.
I'm still hoping that some live material of that era would be in the set (...if it will be a box set).
