At a time when almost everything was being recorded digitally, Gilmour's Pink Floyd made a point of letting everyone know that PULSE had been recorded ANALOG, because they felt analog produced higher-quality recordings. I have the original vinyl, it will be fun to compare the original with the remaster. :)

It's probably going to be pressed at Record Industry like all the Floyd reissues which is a shame. QC of Record Industry is pretty bad.

  7. Every single of my PF reissues were great pressings and sound. With all the Floyd I have and heard, I've never heard this live set. I think I'm all Floyded out, but cool it is being reissued .

I'm temped but know that after a couple of months it would probably sit on the shelf forever...

Someday, someday...dropping a hundred bucks on this kind of thing won't give me that sinking feeling. Otherwise, this is just totally the best news in 'wishes come true' reissues I've had since I got back into my music collection!

No. There wasn’t one on the original.

I am EXTREMELY BITTER about this reissue. I’ve had mine for two decades, and it’s been kept immaculately.

I had the blinking CD set years ago but it has been lost somewhere over the years. I'm in for this release.

Unfortunately they haven't been very clear with the product description as we know that "mastered from the original analogue tapes" doesn't mean the vinyl is being done in an all analogue chain, vs. "mastered AND CUT FROM the original..."

Hopefully we can get some clarification. The recent Pink Floyd vinyl reissue campaign saw all albums digitally "remastered from the original analogue tapes" and there was some negative reaction from various online a/v forums...hopefully they'll have received the feedback and go the extra mile to make this 4LP set AAA - with Grundman involved, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Grundman did all the previous hi-res digital cuts, too, so this is unlikely to be any different

You should still give the set a listen at some point. Definitely not a wasted couple hours...

Why be bitter? Sounds like you don't have to buy the new set.

Looks a lovely set, too much side flipping for me tho, I'll stick to my original CD.

    2 questions.

    How many will be pressed?

Is there any place an EU buyer can order?

For the best of both worlds, check out the Japanese mini-LP set. It has all of the elements of the vinyl set in miniature form, including the hardcover book. (It does however omit One Of These Days.)
