I haven't gotten to them yet. I've only listened to Scream so far. That was not true mono and has patches from a different source.

Honestly I, too, don't like the 2016 remixes so much. I would re-EQ the OBC remix tracks, lowering the treble and mid frequence ranges a bit, then it would be alright.

Thanks, I will keep an ear on it when I do a stereo fold down of the quad mix.

Question for @rontoon (or any other Floyd BBC expert): on the Germin/ation CD, tracks 11–13 ("Point Me at the Sky," "Embryo" and "Interstellar Overdrive") are labeled
"BBC Radio Session, 20 December 1968." Are these tracks actually from one of the BBC sessions from 2 December 1968?

I don't know. Some of the tracklists I posted are sourced from Wikipedia.^^

Just checked out, they were recorded on 2nd December 1968. You were correct about that.

Wikipedia is just quoting the official track list, which has been propagated all over the Internet now.

Shame, really. They themselves make the RoIO a necessary item in the old collection.

Still, there's a lot to like that we did get, including some really cool schwag.

And some of the coolest stuff we got (Pompeii and 5.1 Meddle) was through their bungling, fumbling process. Crazy, man.

I'm still on the fence about the box. If the entire Empire Pool concert was in it I would buy it without hesitating for a second.

Maybe because each volume is sold individually in 2017?

Boss: "It's been decided that the 5.1 of Meddle is a no go. Can you make a new version without it?"

Assistant: "Sure" *clicks erase from meny* (those greedy bastards)

That makes sense. I did not see it on the DVD, I don't have BD on my computer. That is really cool though.

Despite the missing disc error that I'm struggling with, I am finding this box set to be absolutely amazing. And although I don't technically have the money I spent on it and do find it expensive, I do think it's worth it. I pretty much feel like the video restoration and licensing fees for all of that video had to cost quite a fortune.
