I think that Adrian realized that messing with his original film was a mistake.

I haven't looked at my disks yet, but was poking around on the Internet this morning.

Apparently, the disks with the hidden Meddle 5.1, and shipped with the full box, have files dated on or before November 2016.

The files on the disks shipped with the single Reverberation boxes are dated 12/15/2016, and have apparently been "fixed."

I have the single Reverberation box.

I'll check the disks when I get to my computer that has the BD drive.

There is no 5.1 Meddle on the new discs - I checked yesterday.

That's disappointing. I am hopeful a Meddle anniversary box set or deluxe edition will include a surround mix in the future. I still feel it should be properly released, not buried digitally. I still can't justify the high priced box set, even at its lowest price available on amazon UK.

Thanks. I was going to buy Reverberation anyway, but I was hoping for the 5.1 as a perk.

BTW: the files and folders on my BD are dated 12/15/2016.

It seems that Roger didn't give his approval.

Maybe they will fix whatever he didn't like about it, and eventually publish it.

It didn't get Roger's approval because he never heard it.

Sure glad a generous member here made me a copy of Meddle in 5.1.

What do you all think of the sound on CD 1 of Cambridge St/ation? ...

Unfortunately, if you don't buy the full set, you don't get Pompeii audio OR Meddle 5.1.

Pompeii audio is included after all, AFAIK.

That's good! I was told otherwise. Thanks for the correction.

Aside from the '65 tracks, I find it way too bright/sharp sounding.

PF themselves initially said it would be box-only. But they changed their minds, apparently.

Yeah, I also have the Obfuscation single box.

CD2 has the Pompeii 2016 stereo remix, along with an added alternate take of Careful with that Axe.

The DVD has the 2016 5.1 Remix in 48 kHz/16 bit and the Blu Ray has the 5.1 mix in 96/24.

The Blu Ray also has the 2016 stereo remix in 96/24.

Slightly off topic but is the Record Store Day release of Interstellar Overdrive an indication of another archive release?

I know there has been some speculation on this thread of a Piper 50th anniversary release. I am wondering if they will release a Pink Floyd in Mono set with Piper, Saucerful and associated singles and outtakes etc.

Hope there's any (tiny) chance getting the vinyl singles in an individual box sometime.

The singles material from 1967/68 is already included in the Early Years box set and the first two individual volumes. What I believe is that we maybe could get a mono Saucerful on vinyl or CD sometime.
Or a re-release of A Nice Pair with both Piper and Saucerful in mono and stereo.^^

The new individual Obfusc/ation set now has both the OBC 2016 and Pompeii CD's properly housed in a double tray and with the tracks from both discs also now listed in the book. It's a shame that the big box owners have the awkward 'bonus' disc in cardboard sleeve solution and no reference anywhere in that book to the Pompeii CD. I bought the individual set and swapped them over and the box feels more satisfactory now. My OCD dictated that resolution!

I'm hoping for some sort of release celebrating the 40th anniversary of Animals (and the 1977 tour). I doubt if they'll do anything with Piper this year.

Might just have to look for a (very) used copy one day...
