Pixar short "Borrowed Time" ; brilliant!

Apparently, it was worked on during Pixar employees' downtime.

Put it full-screen when watching it. Personally found it to be terrific.

 

The thread title is very misleading...

"It’s not a Pixar film in any respect, but we did make it here on our nights and weekends." a quote from Andrew Coats about this film.

Yes, the two guys who are responsible happen to also work at Pixar, but to call "Borrowed Time" a "Pixar short" is not true. It is however, a very well-done film. Thanks for sharing it.

 

You're splitting hairs. They didn't publish, but the talent behind it is Pixar-bred and hired.

And...why. This film appeared on the Oscar Shorts presentation many arts cinemas run so pantrons can actually have opinions and support short films, short toons, and short docs. Anyway, it appeared already. On LAST years' reel. AND, it was too old to have been eligible even then...because it was made THE YEAR BEFORE.

Believ me, when it shows up on an Oscar Nominations program...yer darn tootin' Pixar takes credit for it.

Nevertheless, a seminal, heartbreaking short. Right up there with the first 10 minutes of Pixar's UP.
