Please, suggestions for remastering software

    Location:
    Inverness, Illinois (suburb of Chicago)
    I have a number of CD's that are mastered with a "HOT" hi end, for example The Monkees Greatest Hits on Rhino. It is impossible to listen to this CD without sticking my fingers in my ears. I know that CoolEdit is mentioned a lot on this board. Can I use CoolEdit?

    John,

    I would suggest posting this question in the SH Audio Hardware forum as you may have better luck over there.
