    The barometer shows a temperature of 50!

    Although like a lot of people that age I only look about 35. :angel:

    It looks like the Beatles and the Stones, but maybe the Doors can ruin it.. I think it takes a David Bowie to make the saxohpone work with Mick Jagger. The Doors should be able to kick out the Stones in this group.

    If “Brown Sugar” doesn’t go through, this poll is a travesty! ;)

    I've never heard the Doors song (far too young) so...

    EDIT: This is great - better than Brown Sugar? :p

    Unlike Start Me Up, Brown Sugar has retained it's awesomeness through hundreds of plays.

    Also, The Boy in the Bubble.

    Break on Through is a kick ass opener. Great tune.

    The Doors and The Stones.

    The White Album opener is a classic, but I'd put it in the bottom half of tracks from that album.

    The group of death in World Cup terms (Germany, Brazil, Argentina, Italy maybe)

    1= Brown Sugar
    1= Break On Through

    Highly Commended: Boy In The Bubble, Back In The USSR, Tunnel of Love. Maybe the White Stripes too, will have to refresh the memory.

    I haven't heard the White Stripes or Flaming Lips.

    That leaves one great song (Tunnel Of Love), one okay song (Let It Rock) and a whole lot of rubbish.

    So Dire Straits & Bon Jovi get my votes!

    Incredibly The Beatles (I love The Beatles don't you mate?) are lagging behind in third!

    I really like both of the Songs by The Flaming Lips and The White Stripes and prefer to pick more recent Songs, as these Polls show a strong bias by most Voters to Old Classic Rock Songs overall, but hard to not vote for:

    Break on Through(To the Other Side)-The Doors
    Brown Sugar-The Rolling Bones

    Voted for The Doors and Dire Straits. Stones and White Stripes were tough not to vote for.

    USSR, of course, because of the jet.

    Break On Through is the best first song on a debut album. You know right away this is something new and something good.
    Back In The USSR rocks like crazy. A fantastic opener to THE WHITE ALBUM!!!

    Brown Sugar and The Boy In The Bubble would have won many of the other groups!
