I went with Street Corner, but had a tough time picking between it, Looking In and Hellbound Train. Those 3 make a great trilogy IMO.

Looks like I'll need to find a copy of Raw Sienna. Savoy is one of those bands that just sound right on vinyl.

We really need a good compilation from this period as the 2 cd Anthology is now out of print and there really isn't a good full single disc compilation either.

Blue Matter is a killer ... the best of a strong run of albums. I think Raw Sienna is a bit of a tail off from what came before. I think post-Youlden Savoy is a big step down, although Kim had fine moments on many of those '71-'72 albums. Blue Matter is such a great album, though. Vicksburg Blues is one of my favorite piano blues ever.

Not sure why he doesn't have the same mythology about him as Clapton, Page, Green, etc.,

Raw Sienna is my favorite but I love all their albums that you listed. I saw them at the Fillmore East after A Step Further was released, and what sticks in my mind is everyone seated in the audience bopping their heads up and down violently to the Savoy Brown Boogie.
