    Hard to pick five.
I could picked at least ten.
    I chose
    Astral Weeks
    Electric Ladyland
    Cheap Thrills
    Beggars Banquet
In Search of The Lost Chord
I could changed any of those titles out with the White Album
    or Music From Big Pink.
Didn't Jeff Beck Truth come out in 68.
That would be a top five as well.

From the list, Kinks, Stones, Hendrix, Beatles and Big Brother

I would have selected Shine on Brightly (Procol Harum) had it been a choice.

From that list --- Astral Weeks, Big Pink and Beggar's Banquet, which are among my fav albums of all time, and the white album, which is my fave Beatles album. I also do quite like Village Green... but that's an album I can go a decade without listening to and not have it even cross mind, so I didn't vote for it. Electric Ladyland is still and album I'll ocassionally return to as well so I put that on my list even though, in truth I can't remember the last time I listened to it and at this point it's probably my least listened to Hendrix album. When it comes to Hendrix I tend to favor the post-Experience stuff anyway. White Light/White Heat would also make my list of rock albums from the period I still play. Moodies, Cream, Zombies, Janis I can skip completely, none wete ever my cup of tea.
