I'm speaking about the girly pop artists like Madonna,Mariah Carey,Lady Gaga, etc.
Considering that the subject matter might not be completely relatable due to gender differences.

What about male musicians that sound like females?

Oh, I thought you meant great artists like Bessie Smith, Ma Rainey, Billie holiday, Janis Joplin, Madeleine Peyroux... So I voted "No"... Should have read the first post before voting...

No! Why in the world would you ask?? Good music is not gender specific.

Of course not. Music transcends gender.

No. Silliest poll question ever. And around here, that's saying something.

I don't judge music by the gender of who made it. If its good it's good.

Just asking because it's extremely rare and highly unlikely these days to come across a fan of Madonna or Lady Gaga that happens to be a male.

It is strange for anyone to listen to the artists mentioned in the opening post. They are ****e.

    It is? Why?

I know plenty of guys who would rather listen to Madonna or Lady Gaga over a lot of the more revered bands around these parts. Especially guys my age (I'm 44) and older.

Edit: I can also think of a couple of Hoffmanites that are males that like female pop artists: I'm particularly thinking of Anton and Oatsdad.

    It seems so.

    Maybe it's just my generation. (I'm a 90's kid)

I can't really relate to Gollum stealing my girlfriend in Mordor either but "Ramble On" is a pretty good tune.

I don't think it's any stranger for males to listen to female pop stars than it is for a 90s kid with a 70s icon for an avatar.

Only if you mean you want to sleep with more than one female musician at a time. Then, you're just being greedy. ;)

I love to hear a woman sing but then I love women. That may have a lot to do with it. If I did not like women then maybe it would be different but I'd be in need of help if that were the case.

Well would you consider it strange if a woman listened to male artists? No.

Downright weird. But not nearly as strange as men reading actual books written by women. Or men even reading books for that matter.

Now films starring women--don't even get me started.
