Stay as Zeppelin archivist and also turn left and record some Celtic folk music. Think Blackmore's Night without the elf boots, and with a stronger focus on authentic folk tunes.

I'm surprised that "Retire already" is such a popular choice considering his last album of original music was released in 1998. Is it really that annoying that every two years or so he says he might do this or that and then doesn't do it? Would a statement saying, "OK, I'm retired now", improve the complete lack of new music he's releasing?

Let someone else be in charge of the Zep releases, someone young with hearing. Find a nice cottage and retire.

If Zeppelin reissues are mastered loudly because of Page's hearing, what's the excuse for nearly every other modern CD release?

    Retire from music, but first...
Hire Dave Lewis or someone (that knows) to oversee a live release soundboard campaign with good uncompressed, not too bright sound.
Also, get someone to release the hi-res FLAT transfers of the masters on SACD or Blu-ray.
Invent a time machine and send me to LA, CA. June 3, 1973.
Try to make babies with the 25 year old gf.

I voted left turn (but not at Greenland).

Something completely out of the blue (a la Dylan's "Shadows in the Night") would be great.

I'd combine some of the choices and put together a new band with a couple of good vocalists - one of them a female - and players capable of playing a variety of instruments. JPJ would fit right into this! The band would be a Fairport type ensemble capable of folk, folk rock, rock, and some blues. The goal of the band would be to have a great time making some great music and making people happy. At this stage of his life just go out to have fun and play.

If one of these guys would just retire and stay retired, all might get the message that it's okay to hang it up.
