    No, not bad at all.

I did not know Nash's nickname was "Willy." (Did you know, do you wonder...?)

A throwback to a time when the sequencing on the two sides of the vinyl were something the artists and the label considered. It came to be that CDs were front-loaded with the best songs because so many people play 15-20 minutes and for whatever reason, pop the CD out to insert another. (Which is, I admit, another programming decision.)

I voted "Woodstock" off. My final pairing would either be the actual final pairing, or maybe with "Helpless" instead of "Woodstock"

All tracks on 4WS are better than their studio originals... quite a feat.

DQ: Carry On vs Teach or Woodstock.

Nowhere near favorite band territory for me, but it is a great collection of tunes.

Carry On is... OK. It's shrill and gimmicky, but it's CSNY in 1970 so it's not exactly bad. But Woodstock is a much better song and performance. My final pairing would have probably been Woodstock vs Helpless.

Yep, this. 'Carry On' is too obvious a winner so of the two I voted for it even though I was kind of surprised the Woodstock version made it this far.

    Woodstock.

Final would've been Carry and the title track.

Down to these two? This is the musical equivalent of Sophie's Choice.

This worked out exactly as I would have it. Voted off Woodstock only because they didn't write it.

Carry On over the title track is my final two. Love how they both metamorphise in mood part way through.

My music room in the basement has turned into a shrine to CSNY. I just discovered in my sisters collection (that I've held onto for decades), the couch LP, the 2 LP live set, plus two Croby/Nash LP's. Here goes nothin'.
Sorry sis, but the Deja Vu LP is mine.

Voting off Woodstock, which suffers mostly by comparison.

Final pairing would be Carry On edging either Teach Your Children or Our House, take your pick.

    Woodstock to go

DQ: Teach Your Children over Our House. Carry On would be my 3rd choice with Country Girl 4th.
But as I said at the beginning, the whole album is great. I like every song. There really was no way to go wrong (or right) in voting on this one.

His middle name is William, and while I don't know for a fact that Joni Mitchell originated it as his nickname, I seem to remember that. She called him that, in any case, hence the song "Willy" on Ladies of the Canyon.

    michanes oh yeah

Nearly impossible choice but I eliminated Woodstock.

DQ: Would it really be two Crosby songs, Deja Vu and Almost Cut My Hair? AARRGGH, no, no. Would have to be Deja Vu and Carry On.

    "Woodstock"

DQ: "Deja Vu" versus "Carry On" with the former winning.

    I voted off "Woodstock."

DQ: I guess I'd take "Carry On" over "Almost Cut My Hair," but without any conviction. I thought the Nash songs left much too soon, but I don't know either would be in my top 2.

Not only that, but didn't Stills interpolate another song of his into it, "Questions"?

(Is this the same Buffalo Springfield-era "Questions" from the Last Time Around album?).

Voted out Woodstock but I'm with you on the DQ. Still shocked "Country Girl" left so quickly.

Teach, then Woodstock. I like both of those better than Carry On.

    Voted to boot Woodstock.
DQ: This would be my final 2 with Deja Vu and Almost Cut My Hair right behind. The deep track l like is Country Girl medley, the first part which may be Whiskey Boot Hill, not sure what to call it, as I know Neil worked on this song with Springfield (as Down, Down, Down) according to other threads
