There goes "Here Comes The Night."

    Five remain, one must go.

Discussion question: Have you heard any cover versions of songs from WILD HONEY? If so, what did you think?

Can't remember hearing any covers. If I did I guess I wasn't impressed.

Not sure if I have heard any covers. If I had it would have been at a Brian Wilson show.

    Voted "Aren't You Glad".

Never heard any covers but I've heard the song "Darlin'" was based on.

Kind of cheating here as it is not "really" a cover (depending on who you talk to) but I love hearing John Cowsill OWN this song when he sings it with the touring BBs.

    Voting For "Country Air".

    "Wild Honey" covered by Nazareth:

Edit: I actually didn't view the video (which was the only one of the song) before I posted, it says on YouTube that it's "Age-restricted", in case someone's sensitive...

  10. I think John Cowsill is the best singer of the current or former Beach Boys at the present time.

I voted for (against) "Wild Honey".

I can't believe Here Comes the Night was voted off already. Though better instrumentation would have improved it (it sounds more like a demo here), it's a really catchy song and for me a highlight of the album. Mind you, I really like the later disco version too.

I'm going with Country Air, because as many times as I've heard this LP, I have no idea how that song even goes.

Don't think I've heard any covers, but I'm gonna see where I can find that Nazareth "Wild Honey"....

I agree about Here Comes the Night. Probably my favorite song on one of my favorite Beach Boys albums.

Of course Country Air is better. It's a scientific fact.

    DQ: uhhhhhh... guess not.

It's on their 1976 album Play 'n' The Game, I don't think it's on any compilation. It's cool to hear someone nail the melody while singing full throttle (and they've actually raised the key a whole step too), instead of just having to guess what the high notes are supposed to be. :D

These threads make no sense. You end up with the strongest track on the album, not the weakest one.

A cover version, but I don't know it was on a record anywhere:
