    "Boris" one more time.

I've seen The Who an even dozen times, and twice each for Roger and John solo (never Pete!) The 1996 "Quadrophenia" show at Madison Square Garden remains one of my all-time favorite concerts (being my favorite Who album, and all).

    "Whiskey Man" gone.

Saw them live in 1982 at JFK Stadium in Philadelphia (Santana & the Clash were the openers). Not again until 2008 and 2012 (full performance of Quadrophenia). Didn’t really care for the 82 show. The venue and heat may have had something to do with it.......the most recent two were great.

DQ: Seen them live a few times during the 90s and 2000s. Best show though was Pete solo at the House of Blues on his acoustic tour.

    Boris voted off...….

Saw them twice in the 2000s. Enjoyable show both times. Daltrey was really superb both times.

This is where it gets hard.

Never had the chance. The Two played at a local arena about a decade ago, boss was supposed to score me some good comp tickets but "forgot", I got stuck working a horrible show that night.

Turns out "Pictures of Lily" was on The Two's set list that night too.

I've only seen them 3 times...............
1982 at Shea Stadium - with The Clash and David Johansen opening, and twice during the last tour - 2017 Forest Hills, 2018 Newark.

I liked 1982, thought the recent shows were only OK.

Interesting that we have two of Johns songs left. Probably the only Who album this would be true.

I've seen the band live 30+ times. I've seen every tour since 1982.

I saw them in 1982. I don't really remember it all that well so nothing special I guess. I was just glad to get a ticket to the farewell tour. I like Live At Leeds but I don't listen to it often. I like the Royal Albert Hall DVD.

I have seen John Entwistle live though, with his solo band in the late 1990s, the band with Godfrey Townsend on guitar.

JE only had half of his usual "ASS" stadium bass rig, but Townsend had two full Peavey 5150 amp stacks for guitar and was really abusively loud for the small room.

After the show I had the opportunity to approach Entwistle when he was alone at the bar and speak to him. But the question that came out of my mouth was "So what was it like to play in Ringo's All-Starr Band?" I got a great answer though - he said "McCartney only had to play 'Yellow Submarine' once, I had to play the bloody thing a hundred times."

They didn't play "Boris The Spider", and when someone shouted a request for it from the crowd he replied "I'm not playing that bloody awful thing again."

One of my favorite Who live performances is "A Quick One, While He's Away" from the Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus.
