"Drive My Car" is sitting on the roadside now.

    Five remain, one must go.

Discussion question: Have you heard any good covers of the songs on Y&T?

    7 If I Needed Someone
    T8 Yesterday
    T8 Doctor Robert
    T10 Act Naturally

Stevie Wonder's cover of We Can Work It Out is an absolute classic.

We Can Work It Out....only because I like the other 4 better.

I like Cheap Trick's versions of "Day Tripper."
The Jam did a decent version of "And Your Bird Can Sing."

    I've never liked "Nowhere Man".

Can't think of any covers I've heard of these songs.

I like the Bee Gees version of Nowhere Man (not sure if Frampton is on that too - it's from the Sgt Peppers film).
Maryanne Faithfull and Joan Baez did nice versions of Yesterday, as have many others.
Stevie's WCWIO is great, as mentioned above.
I dislike JT's riff-free version of Day Tripper.

I'm Only Sleeping is an excellent song. It's just not one of the 4 (or maybe 5) best songs on this album.

Hmmmm..Ray Charles did a nice Yesterday.

Cannot believe Yesterday was eliminated so early.

I'm Only Sleeping losing this round, one of my favourite John songs.

Never been a big fan of Nowhere Man.

    Voting off I'm Only Sleeping.

Otis Redding did a pretty good version of Day Tripper.

I prefer Deep Purple's "We Can Work It Out" to the original.

I've heard a few good versions of "If I Needed Someone." The Hollies do a faster version of the song (to George's dislike apparently). In the US around the same time, the Cryan Shames put a good version on their first LP. Also, the Stained Glass have a version. I like that one except for the harmonica.

Hendrix played Day Tripper well on BBC sesssions.

The original is missing Blackmore's guitar fills and Rod Evans' understated delivery.
