LOL. I'd rather listen to Gomper in its entirety than listen to Bill Wyman snoring!

They've got to have a version of In Another Land in the vaults without the psychedelic distortion on Wyman's vocals; or better still one with just Mick singing lead.

You don't like Bill's vocal, with the windy psychedelic sounds?

The album ran about what... 45 mins? Cut Gomper in half, strip the effects from Wyman's vocals (and the snoring), get rid of See What Happens, then add We Love You, Dandelion, Child Of The Moon.

    1. Sing This All Together
    2. Citadel
    3. We Love You
    4. In Another Land
    5. 2000 Man
    6. Dandelion

    7. She's A Rainbow
    8. The Lantern
    9. Gomper (2:30)
    10. 2000 Light Years From Home
    11. Child Of The Moon
    12. On With The Show

I can't hear his vocals, all I can hear is a psychedelic distortion of his vocals. I've heard his solo albums, there's nothing wrong with his regular singing voice.

Just as a side note for everybody, if you listen closely to Wyman's snoring at the end of "In Another Land" you can hear "Gomper" playing in the background :p

It might fit on Satanic Majesties better but is was supposedly recorded closer to the Beggars Banquet sessions.

I do not know which way to vote. The lyrics sound like Satanic while the drums sound like Jack Flash.

Their Satanic Majesties Request. If Dandelion,We Love You & Child of the Moon made their way onto TSMR it would've been considered one of the greatest albums of all time. (It's still one of my favorites though.)
Then again, if Penny Lane/Strawberry Fields forever would've replaced the weaker songs on Sgt. Pepper it would've been the undisputed greatest album of all time. Either way (to most) it outlclasses TSMR but IMO it's the other way around.

Well put. It's a shame that the album is overlooked by so many people. There was major potential, and if these singles had been included, it would sit next to Piper at the Gates of Dawn today.

Interesting poll Mike! I'm some what surprised that "B" side is winning! I just assumed more people had strong opinions
on whether it should be on Majesties or Banquet! It's all good!

    Carry on........

I agree. I still would've thought Piper at the Gates of Dawn is a far more superior album. That's another one that blew my mind during my first listen.
Piper at the Gates of Dawn > Dark Side of the Moon
Such a whimsical album with a creepy undertone. It's like a fairytale through the eyes of someone spazzing out on LSD.

Thanks! Yeah, I was thinking the same, most people don't want to tamper with history I guess.
Child of the Moon is what you'd get if "TSMR" and "Beggars" was put in a blender! How's that for an analogy :righton:

Sorry, "Child Of the Moon" should be on Beggar's Banquet along with "Jumpin' Jack Flash" making one of the greatest albums ever made even greater.

What song would you guys drop from Beggar's Banquet to make room for 'Child Of The Moon'? Or would you?

I understand this sentiment and used to feel this way myself! Problem is...I can't come up with any songs to remove from Beggars to
make room for them!!! Every song on Beggars is essential to make it BEGGARS!!!!!!

    Good Question.
To these ears, it's a near perfect album, but I guess I would go with "Factory Girl". Love its simplicity though.

Now that I look at the track listing, I'd definitely get rid of 'Dear Doctor'.
