Not my favorite era of Emmylou (that would be earlier) but for the price I'm in!

 

Still there ?!?!? They're either not selling by now, or Poop Market is pressing them in their basement.

 

I bought one for $20, but it really begs the question as to what is the market for this release?
A $90 box set of non-essential albums by an artist past her prime? Most older Emmylou fans probably own the ones they need -- and how many fans does she have under the age of 35?
I'm not complaining, buy it's interesting they can't move their stock after at least 5 days at this price.
I think there will be a lot of similar deals on packages like this in the next 5-7 years. There's just no market for it.

 

Yeah, I think this was an ill-conceived release. I'm not surprised they have way too many of them.

Frankly, with some looking and over time, I could have found nice copies of each lp for $5 each, at least in my neck of the woods..

 

yeh i bought all of these in the $2.99 range a few years back in perfect shape 1 was even sealed & plenty to be had .......

 

When it's too good to be true...guess what ?

All they shipped me was " Roses In The Snow." That's it !!!!

I called them, long story short, they offered me a full refund, and a label for free return shipping. I passed, and will keep the record.

Well, it’s not your fault. No where in their listings did they state it was a single LP, nor did they state which LP you were purchasing.

Yes. Their mailers are very flimsy too. Single thin cardboard, that folds over. I chose Priority, plus I live very close, so no damage, but that's it for me and Pop Market. Said the same years ago, but...

 

Guy on Discogs says they were also selling a Tom Petty 9 album box for $22., likely also a foul up.

 

I got one of those. It still hasn't shipped. My guess is that it won't ship.

 

Should of known better than ordering from Popmarket. Uggh!

 

They've finally pulled the Emmylou listing.

 

I ordered something from these guys recently because it was listed as a fairly rare CA cd with bonus trax. I asked in my purchase note for them to ensure it was the correct item. Got the standard US cd, without bonus tracks...

They seem to be pretty lazy on attention to detail.

 

Thnx for the heads up MYKE. I just paid for my box this evening so it hasn't shipped, then saw this thread. Sent em a message to cancel/refund to save them shipping costs and return postage costs and me the hassle. Fingers crossed
