That would explain the comment about Marriage on the Rocks. I agree that that album cover isn't at all psychedelic. But I thought we were posting good psychedelic albums and the focus wasn't actually on cover art--it seemed the cover art was incidental to something being a good psychedelic album. Have you actually listened to Marriage on the Rocks, by the way?

What if we were to focus on music more though?

I am surprised no mention of Led Zepplin I, II, III or IV. I realize some may say, blues, hard rock, but those vocals and guitar parts can bring back flashbacks without the use of drugs. Sorry no album art work forgot how to attach it.

This was on page one, but thank you for repeating a great and worthy one.

Just think of it as 'somebody has to do it, I've fulfilled my obligation now'.

Forgive me my lord but I am afflicted with the synesthesia!

I do have that Marriage on the Rocks two-fer, it’s been sitting in my to-do pile for quite a while now. Ted has never touched anything stronger than Earl Grey, btw.

Don't know if it was already mentioned, at least it doesn't show in thread search, but the Silver Apples debut in 1968 was one of the big ones ...

But I'm usually much more about the newer stuff when I post here, already enough words spread about the best of decades past, so the new 2018 release from The Limiñanas is a big one for me, Shadow People, one of the best ... The Limiñanas - Shadow People (2018 mix of psych, shoegaze, garage, and yé-yé )

I bought it when it first came out and still enjoy it. Saw them live a few times.

All in the ears and minds of the beholder. I grew up through this era and it was a major part of the psychedelic experience as was so much of the music.

"Dazed & Confused" is undoubtedly psychedelic, it's a bad trip through Robert Plant's women problems. "Whole Lotta Love" is like a heavy update of "Time Has Come Today". "Friends" always reminds me of Cream's "As You Said", and someone described them as "psycho-blues", so there's a connection that will make even more sense after the next hit, man, I promise you. And if you really are hearing bustles in hedgerows it's probably time to go to bed, Percy.

If you dropped a 4 way hit of window pane back in the day even this would sound psychedelic and the album cover would look psychedelic.
