  3. Here is another. I am trying to remember. How long did the gum last?
If memory serves correctly it was somewhere between five and twelve chews before the flavor was gone and the gum got hard.

Baseball Super Freaks. In the third grade, back in 1974-5, the whole class was into these cards, the 60's "monster craze" had ended a few years prior, but my rural town hadn't gotten the memo, we were all big time monster freaks . The artwork was a big influence on me, I struggled as an 8 year old to copy these in every grotesque detail.

Odd Rods were big with my gang too. Crazy Monsters AND cars ?!? Consider our young minds thoroughly blown.
The Ed Roth influence is obvious. The artwork was done by a high school kid named B K Taylor at night after classes. He actually had the execs at the Donruss company fooled into thinking he had a fully staffed art studio churning these out, when in fact he was a teenager working alone. Amazing, and another big influence on my later illustration career.

Weird Oh's cards were pretty cool. Another set heavily influenced by Ed Roth.

I fondly remember back in the 60's building The Rat Fink models...they were so cool!
