    It's from a newspaper, not a comic book, and relies on the written word rather than an image, but this still cracks me up.

    For a visual image, maybe it's because I grew up on his art, but I've always been partial to the boxy draftsmanship of Jack Kirby. It's very dramatic and clean, all hard edges and force.

    The earliest Masters of the Universe mini-comics came as pack-ins with the figure toys. They were drawn by Alfredo Alcala in a more barbarian Conan style than would follow with the later (dire) TV series, and they truly evoked an entire universe. I was transfixed by these images as a child.
