Post A Song You Really Think Other People Will Like

    No rules. The song could have been a big hit or could have been only released in Turkmenistan for one week 16 years ago. All that matters is that you think its a great song and you want more people to enjoy it. Many of my favorite memories are of turning people on to music they'd never heaerd before but it quickly became some of their favorite music. Ok, I'll start off:




    This is a song called Stowaway by an Irish band called Horslips. They were kind of popular for a bit in the 70s but this song always stuck with me.

    Since you mention a foreign land like Turkmenistan, I was thinking that this song (from Yugoslavia) had it been released in the West in English, would have been well received by audiences, especially at the height of punk/new wave popularity.

    For the rockers among us - a B-side from 1971 and one of my top 5 Pretties songs. The percussion is one of those old metal spinning ashtrays being pushed down.
