Another Idris track... Love this man's discography & though I know he did more than just straight funk; more a hybrid of both funk, jazz and disco. Killer groove. Now why are his albums from Boogie to the Top onward (bar Kabsha) unreleased on CD??

The Chambers Brothers "Funky"-I bought a copy of this single at White Front department store in early 1971. The other side of the single is "Love Peace and Happiness".

 

Didn't know this is originally from Irakere. Paquito D'Rivera recorded his own version on the "Explosion" LP from 1985:
