Yes ....I moved up here years ago from your neck of the woods. Witnessed 3 spreading of ashes here this summer/fall . 20 locals fishing that step back for 30 minutes and give respect. Very iconic spot for many people, as are the sj's.

I just wanted to add my congrats for this superb effort, well done! I wish I'd had the drive and ability to do this when I was 18...

No major changes in my system except layout - I tore down the 1x4 rack and rebuilt it (somewhat ghetto-style) as 2x2:

This was primarily to get the amp out from under the shelves...firstly it looks too nice to hide, and secondly it runs too hot to be in shelving I think.

Soundwise - not having a tall column of gear between the speakers has improved the soundstage, but now the TT is lower I suspect there is a bit of blurring mids at high volume - those La Scalas have downward firing ports after all. Oh for a room big enough and clear enough to put all the gear down one side, well away from the speakers!

That's lovely. I want a room like that- not just for the fantastic LP collection, but for the warmth it exudes. Congratulations.

Posting a pic of my living room set up - just added a new rug/plants for asthetics. Listening to "Porgy & Bess" RSD Mono the other night. Living Voice speakers and big valve amps = a match made in heaven.
Also posted pic of what must be the tidiest record collection on this forum!, housed next door in the dining room.

Wow! Love the Living Voice speakers. If I didn't have Zu, I'd have another pair of those for sure. LPs look great in the other room, probably in alphabetical order and everything, what a show off :)

I have never seen a record store bin in a home before. I love it! I may have to steal that idea.

  25. There are several listed around these parts. Some links to buy and some instructions to build.
