    LOL....that would be Jackson !!!

To your point, I have made the TT more complex than needed, it's based upon the Micro Seiki RX 5000 which is a very basic design - Heavy platter, motor and string drive. I use a flywheel with it, some say it improves the sound, to be honest I cannot tell a difference - but it looks good ! LOL As for the controller I had the Phoenix Engineering Roadrunner and Tach incorporated into the unit and swapped the DC motor for an AC. I also added a SDP (special decoupler platter) from Germany, which necessitates having taller arm-pods. In all reality it would probably sound just as good without all the 'gubbins'!!

Those Century 1000's look very close to the Stratus Bronze. Don't see many 1000's floating about. What tube amp is that ? Looks quite nice.

The blonde can vary in sound quality from oh-so-sweet to slightly naggy. That would be my bride.

I had the luck to see the original in London many years ago, such a great painter.
The amp is home-designed and manually assembled by Estroarmonico in Italy, it is called "Integrato 807"

Lots of changes for me over the past several months, changes that have resulted in one of the most satisfying systems I’ve ever heard. I know we never say never in this hobby, but for now I am quite ecstatic. I can’t speak highly enough about the quality, fit and finish of TW Acustics and Horning gear.

Speakers – From Soliloquy 6.5 to Horning Eufrodite Ellipse III

Amplification – I’ve changed from a 300wpc Class A Plinius SA- Reference solid state amp to 12-13wpc 300B Monoblocks. I still have the Plinius but I honestly have a hard time thinking I will ever go back to it. I think the magic of tubes has snagged me.

Turntable – From a VPI Classic 3 with Miyajima Shilabe to a TW Acustics Raven AC with two 10.5 tonearms, a Miyajima Zero mono cart and an Ortofon A-95 stereo cart.

Phono Stage – From a Sutherland Engineering Hubble to a TW Acustics RPS-100.

Line Stage – From an Allnic L-3000 Mk II to a TW Acustics RLS-100.

CD/SACD – Earlier in the year I had already changed from EMM Labs DCC2/CDSD SE to Playback Designs MP-5 Reference.

I'm not sure but maybe the 1000's were a prototype for the Stratus? They do sound good but i have to tame the bass output they tend to be bottom heavy. The tube amp is a Yaqin ML 10 which I use in my 2 channel rig for turntable along with a phono pre purchased in Canada from company out west called Musical Paradise. If you're looking for a tube based phono pre check out: http://wallofsound.ca/audioreviews/musical-paradise-mp-p1-phono-amplifier-initial-impressions/

A couple of weeks later alternating between the door open or shut i must say that i dont really hear a difference. Dont know if its my system, setup or my ears, but I think it sounds fine either way. :sigh:

I had the same issue, had an open door behind my left speaker and a solid wall behind the right one. I found that with the door closed it sounded better. But everyone's room has different acoustics.
