Honestly - The table, receiver, and turntable look brand spankin new. Very streamline system. Not a lot of frills, just the basics for a minimalist. Pioneer and JVC are quality components. I really like this. You may be tempted to sell the table but I think finding one as nice for a good price would be tough. It is a hell of a lot nicer than the rigged-up cheap shelving I use for my system.
Awesome Mitsubishi gear man! My father had the same Mitsubishi gear in the 70's, and gave it to me in the 80's. Wish I still had it...
Secondary setup: Bottlehead Stereomour with JJ 2a3-40's and a pair of Tekton Lore's with ClarityCap upgrade. Bottlehead Stereomour amp and Tekton Lore speakers by Audio Database, on Flickr
Oooh, nice. I have a Stereomour II. Love it. Your base has a lovely shine to it. How are those JJs? Worth the price?
Pulled them out another foot and angled them towards my listening spot. WHOA!!!! Very dialed in and deep! Thanks for the advice!
Nice man! These Elacs kick ass right? My UniFi UB5's amaze me every time I sit down to listen. They punch way above the 5 bills I paid for them. If Andrew Jones designs a higher end pair of bookshelves for Elac, I'd probably blind buy them and put these in a second system
Nice, something I've been considering for a while now....HE speakers paired with SET. Ever compare the Lore speakers to British monitors? (in particular Harbeth 7es3)
Yeah I need better pics, terrible with the backlighting. I should no better. Its a Marantz 1060 (fully recapped with the good stuff) with a black face plate. It mostly gets used as a pre for my Pm15S2 when I want some vintage punch in my life.
I had the smaller brother, the Marantz 1030, back in the middle 70's. Thought that it was a nice sounding SS amp.
Nice! However, I'd hate to see your electric bill! I suppose you don't need to heat that room in the winter!
Speakers? I'd be afraid to touch any of it. I recognize the speakers and it looks like you have a MacIntosh Tuner? C'mon Tullman, what are those tube amps? CAT? Just a WAG. I don't see a turntable.
