Here's a pic of what I actually see (peripheral vision included) from listening chair. First time I've used the pan feature on my ipone, what a handy little camera. Edit: here's one I took last night while listening.
Thanks for wearing footwear those guys who post pics while they're listening with their bare feet hanging is well...you know. Nice set up BTW.
Oh yeah...I should've said that almost everything Mondo creates almost instantly sells out. FYI, the Predator one was a collaboration with local weirdo and sometimes member of the Swans, Thor Harris.
I'm one of those guy's who where's socks with sandals. If you saw my toenails, you'd know why. One of my grandsons actually runs away from me when I'm barefoot; he's a tad squeamish.
Yes! Love this place. Or used to love it, not sure it's as good as it used to be. Remember the Aku Aku in Cambridge? Sometimes for lunch I run to Tiki Island in Medford. Not the most exciting of places, but almost satisfies the craving for a Tiki vibe.
Re: George Blair's comment about an "isolated" listening room. Depends on your situation. I spent a lot of time and money building building out a dedicated theater\music room. I still love it but I greatly missed not having tunes in a shared space. After recovering from the dedicated room expenses I put a system in the living again. Love it.
Yes. I built out my dedicated listening space and left a serviceable system in our living room that fills the living room and kitchen with good (enough) sound.
Heck, back in the '70s, Kowloon was a dump. They've come a long way. The food isn't terrible, but it's not great either. From this: ...to THIS.:
Long version: A few years ago my oldest grandson and I painted a piece of canvas that I wanted to put over an absorption panel. It was just an abstract perspective thing where we drew the lines and I told him to add color any way he wanted. This was the result: His little brother wanted in on the act so I gave him a piece of canvas and said paint whatever you feel like on it. The result is the piece hanging behind the right speaker. I love them both. There was one more done by the middle grandson. He took it and hung it in his room. It's probably long gone by now.
They are the best! The rest of the food is excellent, as well. Usually, when you visit "theme" oriented restaurants, the food is not what i might be. Not here, I go there for the food.
