Right now some streaming Cool Jazz to "assist" me into moving into a more mellow mood. It is 5:30 (PM) now.

Somewhere along the way, when night draws ever closer, I've this feeling that I just might be in the mood for some 80's music to spice things up.

Before the night is over, I can see the A7's (Altec Lansing), rocking out to some late sixties, or early 70's rock.

I can feel like some Tommy, Hair (the B'dway play), Steppenwolf Live and possibly some J.C. Superstar, on vinyl in the works.

    Tubes, Tubes, Tubes...

It can be. I built a massive rack for my home theater room from 1" threaded steel rod & 5/8 baltic birch plywood.
Some of the shelves are 2 pieces laminated together with green glue and screws & a couple are 3 layers.
It was still pretty expensive for the materials plus the time.

Actually in the world of high-end racks Solid Steel are reasonable although not cheap by any stretch.

I considered Tales, but many of the older ones might not have the detail to enlarge quite so big.
Those obviously aren't top tier Yes albums, but they enlarged really nice.

    Nice!

Wife's home now, I'll do a few more albums later with my HD650's. Maybe some Porcupine Tree? Not sure yet...

It's more important to pre-warm your lava lamp vs your amp.

Time for a straight stiff shot of Kentucky Bourbon to wash out your mouth, Son.

A co-worker made me the audio rack from recycled pallet wood.

Nice! What kind of feet you got on there? From where I'm sitting, it looks like those furniture carpet glider discs?

Yup, it's spikes sitting on furniture sliders. I am still swapping out components and such.. When finalized I'll remove them and use the spikes.

Absolutely and if it doesn't, knock it back til it does.
Looks like you've got enough for the evening.
    I haven't had any bourbon since Christmas but I'm partial to a Maker's Mark old-fashioned or 3.

Why bother with these lousy photos? (Maybe you have your screen dialed in super bright and you can actually see what's in them?) :thumbsdow
