Please, don't think I don't drink bourbon! Anyway, I tell you what: me too, I wanted badly a pair of 802s and I had space for them, so I went to the dealer (or should I say the pusher?). Long story short, listening, talking, then in the end.... I promised myself not to buy any more speakers in the future.... I could afford them then, so.... This is the speakers I came out with, the one you saw portayed in the Laphroaig picture: Deep bass they do.
Oh wow! Quite a setup you have there my friend. I heard the 800's with some Levinson Amps one time. It sounded so good and so far out of my price range I never even thought that I would own a pair. I still don't to be honest. But damn I bet they sound amazing. I need the room first before I could consider that range of a set up.
Love it I’d like to enjoy some nice medicinal and get immersed in some Trane Love that receiver, i miss those.
It has been very frustrating to make a BT connection. So much so that I’ve stopped trying. But as a speakers it’s very good for what it is. If you want to set up a turntable in a patio or garage, it’s kind of ideal. It’s real selling point is it’s looks.
Out of curiosity, I just looked up this series. I don't know what they sound like, but on a visual design level, they are absolutely gorgeous. I am so glad to see this kind of aesthetic sense becoming fashionable in hifi again. They even did a special run in partnership with Capitol Records, celebrating the label's 75th birthday.
