There's 1/2" x 1/2" strips along the sides and middle-third of the back along with "L" brackets supporting each shelf. The added benefit the dividers provide are just icing on the cake!
You ain't just whistlin' Dixie! He is big, but the picture exxagerates the body a bit because of the way he's lying. When he's upright he looks a bit less bloated
Continuing working on the room. Have a lot more ideas for the rest of the year. Panels on the Sidewalls on speaker stands while I experiment with placement.
Yeah im always in flux with my setups. Once im happy I start having ideas of getting even more out of my gear. I am finally slowing down though. Take care, John M.
Getting there on my ideal system....new speakers (B&W 702) coming soon and wanna upgrade my Bluesound Node 2 to the new Naim ND5 XS2 when it finally comes out, both should be swapped by the end of the year
Cool, he had a few tubes still in boxes also. I’ll have to look at them more closely and see what’s up.
There is a limit though...mine is about 3. I had the house to myself last night, so some late night listening was of course in order. I decided to hook up my Anthem MRX-310 and use it as a DAC for my 24 bit music (and spotify)...By itself the Anthem is a little more analytical, studio-sounding than my preference, but the valve gear imparts a nice touch of sweetness. I also came to the realization that the 12" ported sub wasn't cutting it- so I rolled my Tuba HT horn sub up two flights of stairs and pushed it into place with the crossover at 80hz. Like they say, anything can be accomplished through determination and enough ibuprofen! As expected , the horn sub is more dynamic, creates deeper and more immersive bass, and blends much better with the A7's than the ported one, and has no problem delivering at high output levels. I'll have to find a different spot for it since it blocks the door... I gave Far More Drums on Time Further Out a whirl, and I felt the hits in my chest as if Joe Morello was performing in the room!
