I love the look of 47 lab stuff, but never heard any. I want one of these but they're like $400! Too much for me.
Maybe you could show us your speaker placement, if you own speakers. Your setup from the seventies would be of particular interest.
I read his comment as jokingly referring to the drivers on the shelves, not something to bristle at. Or perhaps I am misinterpreting everyone.
Actually I have the Campion. I used to have an Alabaster and loved it as well. I would consider another Alabaster now that it has a built in phono. I heard the Byron at the dealer however he stopped carrying it...I would love to have heard it at home. The dealer uses the same CD player I have and says it's the best he has used or heard. It certainly is for me.. It's not in the picture. The picture has a Luxman which is in my second system now and I am using a Line Magnetic LM515 CD with the pictured system.
I dont have the right lens that will auto focus, so I couldnt take all the pics the way I wanted, like the rest of you pros, but heres my setup....
Your pictures are on AK - which mean you need to be a member - try something like Photobucket instead.
hey how do you like the tube box DS? it gets no audiophile cred but it opened up the vinyl sound in a big way for me.
That damn thing got rid of my turrntables (very low) hum, eliminated the need for me to use my pre-amps sub-par phono pre, and warmed up my Rondo Red. Its like night and day.
Theyve been doing me great justice. I cant see any reason to change them out for quite some time. They sound great for my vast variety of music genres.
