Thank you, I do too! :)

    On the left is a '61 Thorens TD-124 with a '71 SME 3009 S2 arm and '84 Grado Signature 8MR cart.

    On the right is a c. '56 Rek-O-Kut L-34 Rondine Jr. with a mono-wired 12" Model 160 arm and c. '58 GE VR-II mono cartridge, in a custom plinth.

I had a 400 when I was 16- my dad bought it for me, stolen in a break-in. I bought the 800c pictured in my avatar a few years ago, along with the Empire 398

I recently grabbed some 90p v3 for my basement and couldn't be happier - they're a great party speaker.
    Nice system you've got there.

Hey, I just checked out the system in YOUR profile... Thass real nice, too! :edthumbs:

Thanks so much. It was fun working on that ancient Rek-O-Kut. I learned a lot too.

I have said this before, but it is painfully clear how crappy my music room is.

This is actually my shed where I hang out and listen to music at volumes that is not doing my tinnitus any good. I actually have a nice surround in the house, that my wife approves of.

    Anyway, here it is:

What I mean is it's a bit grubby... I have a removalist blanket for a curtain, a work bench for a desk, stained concrete, cobwebs you can't see... Etc etc.

But it's a good room for making noise.

Yes sir...glad I'm not the only one with guitars and amps lying around the place. Mine sort of spills over into another room that my wife fills with my 'stuff' when trying to tidy up for visitors but somehow, they tend to come out again bit by bit. I'd love my own shed :)

Really cool. Is your "shed" a room in your house, or in a detached building? Looks like a concrete floor, like in a garage.

Kevin Spacey would've ended up with a room like that had he survived a little longer in American Beauty

    Crappy? No way!
Tinnitus is a drag. But looking at those Marshall amps, we see the cause.

Its a detached building, pretty much a garage. Size wise Its like an oversized 2 car garage. We live on acreage so sheds are pretty common.

We lined it and painted it years ago for my son, and he lived in it. He moved out, so I moved all my crap in.

In Australia having a shed is kinda common.
