So, runofthemill asked in 'Photos of your system part 3' about how to halve racquetballs.

I used a utility knife. First score a line around the seam, then go around again with a sawing action. Works pretty well. They off-gas for about 3 days---stink up the living room. And since this is a 'photos of your gear thread', I'll include another:

    Here's a couple.
The first one was taken just before the speakers were floated on rollers.

There is a second rack to the left of the one you can see but it is hidden in this photo by the right speaker.
Those are subs behind the Maggies and to the right of the front wall projection, you can see two of the many cylindrical columns I use to treat the room's acoustics.

The second photo shows a close up of an MIO, afloat atop Hip Joints© roller bearings.

    Best regards,

Here's one more, taken from just behind the listening position.
The front projection is showing just some of the tools in the amazing SpectraFoo software, which lets you look at an audio file nine ways to Sunday.
The laptop screen is showing software associated with the MIO.

    Best regards,

    At sea system.

Nice to be on a new forum. This is what I use when I am away from my beloved ARC and Maggie 20.1's:

All testaments to my horrible photographic skills, but how I survive working at sea.

There's something about seeing that Pioneer faceplate that transports me back to how I felt in the 1970s. Kind of like "scent memory". Cool.

At the summer house until Labor Day, and the primary system is too big and heavy to justify moving it down...so here's the "Summer System" crammed into a corner of the bedroom: Thorens TD147, Luxman R-1120 and a pair of Klipsch KG2 speakers.

Not quite what I usually listen to, and the configuration of the equipment is far from perfect, but I've got a pile of new vinyl that's sounding pretty good to me regardless. :righton:
