Given that he's just whammed the opening page with another post of that Pioneer shrine can we prohibit him from posting it again during this thread until he gets a set of DSS-9?

Some serious rigs going on in this thread. I'd thought I'd share my work in progress.

The brown shaggy area rug from Ikea was a nice addition to my room. Too bad you can't see much of it in the picture. :)

My setup is by no means audiophile but here are some various shots of my Beer Cave/From Out Of Nowhere Studios

Big Dumb Speakers for a Big Dumb Guy. Bought these back in the 80's, when I was a junior in high school.

Don't use the old BSR equalizer all that often but it sure lights up real pretty. Xmas gift when I was 13. Told the parents that's what I wanted, they said it would be the only gift for me under the tree and my sister would have a bunch, so I'd better not piss and moan about it. 31 years later, I bet she doesn't have any of her xmas gifts from that year...

Someday I'll have the expendable cash to get some real gear, for now it continues to be meathead city.

The dehumidifier usually doesn't reside there, got a bit of moisture in one of our biblical rains this past summer. The autographed Lemmy poster was actually one of my own photos that I had enlarged.

Studio/Podcasting area. The skull on top of the Michelob light is the actual prop skull used by Blackie Lawless from a WASP show. My buddy fought off about a dozen people to snag it, took it home and his wife made him take it out of the house. It's on semi-permanent loan to the FOON Archives.

Those EPI's must really sing on tubes....my father had a pair of model 110's back in the day....those tweeters are so nice. Which model are those?

Also had myself a pair of these for about 2 months....

For some reason the bass was just so poor....I quickly sold them for 5 times what I paid.

omom - looks like a fun playroom you have there! I love playrooms with wood paneling. much better than the dreary grey plaster in my basement mancave.

They are Epicure 100V's. I paid too much for them (about $200) but the surrounds are excellent and they are in really good shape. They do sound fine with even a single ended 300B amp. I have no idea what their efficiency rating is, the crossover is next to nothing, but these have surprising bass for such a small speaker. The 6L6 PP drives the bass better.
